I want to share this episode of “The Quest for Perfection” in the Myth of Science 2 series of The Nature of Things with you. In this episode Dr. Jennifer Gardy investigates lifestyle and nutritional ideas. The results of her findings are backed by science and have changed my views on certain things, which will impact the advice I give in clinic.
I graduated from a homeopathic college where there was an emphasis on the health sciences, and nutrition was taught. I keep up with the newest trends or research in diet and lifestyle issues so that I can better help you. In many cases the obstacle to cure, or the maintaining cause, of someone’s health may be corrected with dietary and/or lifestyle shifts in addition to homeopathic treatment.
Some of the things that I learned from watching this episode:
- The best way to exercise for strength and durability – good news if you can’t or don’t want to spend an hour a day in the gym:
High intensity exercise:
1 minute exercise as fast as you can
1 minute recovery
10 times
3 times per week
- The best way to eat vegetables – surprise for the Raw Foodists and the Paleo’s:
Raw or cooked? Yes and no.
- Can you do something about your lack of willpower?
YES – watch for the easy exercise to do.
- Should you watch the news, or any down pulling shows or movies, just before bedtime?
Hmmmmnnnnn……
