According to WebMD more than one in four U.S. hospitals offer alternative and complimentary treatments, including homeopathy. There was a time where you could have gotten homeopathic treatment from Princess Margaret Hospital. It was a homeopathic hospital. Women’s College hospital was founded by a homeopath and medical doctor, Emily Stowe (1831-1903). Emily was also the first female to practice medicine in Canada. In contrast, homeopathic doctors included women since its beginnings in the early 1800’s. The Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Montreal was the Montreal Homeopathic Hospital at one time. What happened you might ask? Medical politics….
