I thought that this article was interesting to share with you. The bottom line, no less the last line of the article: “This information needs to get into the public domain so that people understand the consequences of their diet choices.”
Allow me to take a side step and divulge my feelings about the mass slaughter of animals and the disconnect that goes with it. Most of us (I can only speak for Toronto urbanites) go into the supermarket and pick up neatly packaged meat. When I was young I used to go to the slaughterhouse with my grandmother where she would pick out a chicken and I remember watching the process from live bird to dead bird: the chicken was slaughtered, hung upside down for the blood to drain out, then put in front of these powerful vents that pulled out most of the feathers. The chicken would be wrapped in paper and we would head home where my grandmother would first cut off the chicken’s head and throw it to the cat. She would then gut the chicken and cut off the feet and the wings. She would also pull off the feathers that still remained. Sound too yucky? Too time-consuming? Too messy? Imagine if we had to do this today. Technology has really freed us from too much manual labor. But there is a price…
We don’t connect the pieces of chicken we buy to a real chicken. Those breasts you bought, or the thighs you bought – how many chickens are in the packages? Got a package of 4 chicken breasts? You’ve killed 4 chickens. Got a package of 8 thighs? How many thighs does one chicken have? Isn’t that crazy?
Mark Zuckerberg, CEO of Facebook made news a few years ago when he divulged that he slaughtered animals for meat himself. He made the killing of any meat that he eats his personal goal as “an incontestably moral act”. He feels that he wants to be conscious of his food and where it comes from. Bravo to him.
How does what we eat work with homeopathic practice?
Eating too much meat causes a lot of problems within the body:
-Stomach Cramps
-Diarrhea or Constipation
-Bloating
-Gas
-Obesity
-Indigestion
-Heartburn
-Acid Reflux
-Diabetes
-Heart Disease
-IBS (Irritable Bowel Syndrome)
-GERD
-Crohn’s Disease
-Colitis
Homeopathic medicines can treat these conditions quickly, gently, and safely.
Medicines such as Nux-vomica, Carbo-veg, and Ars-a, are only some of the many that can treat these symptoms but remember no two people are the same and my help is the best way to make sure your treatment is uniquely yours.
